The programme is offered by HCMA Training Academy which is a social enterprise with centre status from Institute of Leadership and Management. We specialise in working within the public sector, offering training in business, NLP, management and coaching & mentoring. HCMA’s charitable arm offers help to disadvantaged and the socially excluded. We assist people to achieve goals through socially responsible business practice within their organisations and local communities. HMCA has been recognised as a pioneer in the field of peer mentoring in the mental health sector.
HCMA was founded by Eileen Hutchinson, a specialist in coaching and mentoring and in the social enterprise sector.
Additional faculty who are experienced practitioners and qualified in coaching, mentoring and NLP, may be involved in workshop delivery and telephone based coaching.
How is the programme accredited?
Participants submit the completed CPD Workbook for assessment. The workbook provides the structure for you to describe, at the undergraduate level, how you have tackled a Coaching and Mentoring Question or challenge in order to improve your capability as a coach or mentor. This is assessed by an HCMA assessor, who provides feedback, and your work is further submitted to Middlesex University for moderation before the award of 20 undergraduate level credits. You receive:
- The HCMA Insight Coaching & Mentoring Advanced Certificate
- A certificate of 40 postgraduate credits from Middlesex University. These credits may be used to count towards further postgraduate level qualifications including the MA Work Based Learning Studies (Coaching & Mentoring) with Middlesex University.
Additionally, the programme is endorsed by the ILM based on the relationship whereby HCMA is an accredited centre approved to deliver ILM programmes and qualifications. The programme design is mapped against the ILM level 5 units and the ENTO National Occupational Standards for Coaching and Mentoring in a Work Environment.
